On 6 March 2026, we deployed a system enabling passengers to purchase tickets directly on MZK Żywiec buses using contactless payments. The solution was launched in 36 vehicles, and the project was carried out with Beesset acting as a subcontractor to Pixel.

The new NV1 validators (www kasowni.info) allow passengers to select a ticket directly on the device screen and purchase it using a payment card, smartphone, smartwatch or another device supporting contactless payments.

As part of the deployment, we developed software supporting the ticket sales process on the validators and their integration with the payment terminal. The system was also integrated with devices used by ticket inspectors to verify purchased tickets.

The validators are marked with the pictogram “Buy your ticket contactlessly here”. The interface also takes into account the needs of visually impaired passengers – users can switch the device screen to high-contrast mode using the icon located in the upper-right corner of the display.

The Żywiec deployment is another project carried out jointly by Beesset and Pixel, in which we are responsible for onboard device software and components of the ticketing system used by public transport passengers on a daily basis.
