As part of the continuous development of the software used in NV1 paper ticket validators installed in the newest buses operated by MZK Bielsko-Biała, together with Pixel Sp. z o.o. we have developed a new dedicated graphical interface aligned with the current visual identity.

The validator screen now provides passengers not only with functions related to ticket validation, but also with key information about the journey currently being operated. The display shows, among other things, the route number, direction of travel and upcoming stops, as well as information about the transport Operator and Organiser.

The data displayed on the validator screen comes directly from the onboard passenger information system operated by Pixel’s XC-6 onboard computer. Thanks to this integration, the information is automatically transmitted to the validator and updated in line with the journey currently being operated.

Accessibility was also an important consideration when designing the new interface. Users can activate a dedicated high-contrast mode, which improves the readability of the information displayed on the screen.

The new solution expands the role of the NV1 validator — in addition to its primary function, the device now also serves as an additional element of the onboard passenger information system.
