New ticketing system in Ełk
In mid-July 2026, a new ticketing system was launched on Ełk’s public transport network, with 37 modern onboard validators forming one of its key components. Beesset, acting as a subcontractor to Pixel, was responsible for a significant part of the software layer of the solution.
The new validators allow passengers to purchase tickets directly on board and pay by card, smartphone or smartwatch. The devices also display passenger information, and their user interface is available in four languages: Polish, English, German and Ukrainian. The validators work with Pixel’s XC-6 onboard computers, forming part of the vehicle’s integrated onboard system.
As part of the project, Beesset delivered:
✅ software for 37 onboard validators, supporting ticket sales and registration,
✅ integration of the validators with Pixel’s XC-6 onboard computers,
✅ software for ticket inspection devices, enabling ticket verification during inspections,
✅ a central data warehouse aggregating sales information from various channels,
✅ integration with the SkyCash and GoPay apps, allowing mobile sales data to be transferred to the central system.
As a result, ticket sales carried out on board and through external mobile applications operate within a single, integrated environment covering onboard devices, ticket inspection and centralised data collection.
This is another Beesset deployment drawing on our experience in developing software for public transport – from onboard devices and central systems to integrations with external sales channels.
