eTicket Warehouse

eTicket Warehouse – Ticket Sales Module

eTicket Warehouse is one of the key modules of the Cloud Collector Data Warehouse.
It is responsible for handling sales and transaction processes, which is why it is also referred to in system documentation and materials as the Ticket Sales Module (transaction module).

The solution is currently used in production in public transport systems in cities including Kraków, Szczecin, Bielsko-Biała, Grudziądz, Ełk, Zakopane, Żywiec, and Wolsztyn.

The system provides comprehensive management of fare offerings, sales, passengers, and ticket media. It enables the definition of ticket types, fares, vendors, and sales channels, while maintaining a complete transaction history, including information on purchased products, ticket media, transaction status, amount, vehicle, and sales channel.

The module enables the creation and versioning of fare structures and the definition of products based on passenger profiles, fare zones, prices, VAT rates, and available sales channels. It also supports sales restrictions and blocks activated during ticket inspection processes.

The system allows the configuration of vendors and various sales channels, including:

Sales channels can be grouped, while individual products can be configured with discounts, transaction time limits, and sales models based on the seller’s account balance. The module also provides access to sales reports.

The system maintains a passenger database and supports, among other functions, merging duplicate accounts and anonymizing passenger data. It handles various ticket media, including blocking, transaction history, passenger assignment, media types, entitlements and fare concessions, as well as the process of printing physical city cards. The module also supports applications for the issuance of city or passenger cards and applications for fare concessions, together with their verification, approval, or rejection process.

Sales can apply both to tickets intended for later activation or validation and to tickets where purchase and activation take place simultaneously.

The module also enables the creation of travel vouchers valid for any predefined period, for example during a two-day sporting event, or for a specified duration counted from the moment of activation, such as three days. Once activated, the voucher is converted into a 2D code that the passenger presents during ticket inspection.

The largest production deployment of the Ticket Sales Module is currently in operation at the Public Transport Authority in Kraków.

Below, we present sales statistics for 2025, illustrating the scale of the system’s use by Kraków’s Public Transport Authority.

Depending on the deployment and specific requirements, the module described above can serve as the foundation of a ticket sales system that can be expanded with additional Cloud Collector Data Warehouse modules as well as sales devices such as ticket vending machines and validators.

Available additional modules include:

Merchant Portal

A system combining many of the functions described for SECAM, the eTicket Warehouse, and MTM was the Merchant Portal, a back-office solution developed as a subcontractor for APDU for a client in Lisbon, supporting sales operations and settlement processes.
The software allows the transport authority, Carris, to view payment transactions processed across the entire system, including individual taps and final charges, as well as manage the configuration of EMV terminals.
