We are pleased to announce that Beesset has received PLN 1.6 million in funding from the Regional Operational Programme of the Podlaskie Voivodeship for a research and development project focused on an intelligent ticket validator for public transport. The total value of the project is approximately PLN 2.5 million.

The aim of the project is to develop a modern onboard device capable of both handling public transport tickets and securely processing contactless card payments directly on the vehicle.

The project includes the design and construction of a device prototype, development of dedicated software, and testing under real operating conditions – on buses serving Białystok’s public transport network.

For Beesset, this represents an important stage in the development of our expertise in onboard devices, ticketing systems and electronic payments. One of the main objectives of the project is to create a solution that combines, within a single device, functions used by passengers every day with the capabilities of modern payment systems and central transport platforms.

During the official presentation of symbolic funding cheques to representatives of the selected companies, the importance of research and development projects in driving innovation and strengthening the competitiveness of businesses in the Podlaskie Voivodeship was emphasised.

The funding will allow us to accelerate work on our own public transport solution and create the technological foundation for the further development of modern ticketing devices.

For Beesset, the project is an important step in building expertise in ticket validators, cashless payment systems, embedded software, and the integration of onboard devices with central transport systems.
