Ticketing System in Bielsko-Biała
📣 This week has brought us several pieces of good news 😊
1️⃣🟢 The first was the production launch of our new e-shop: https://bilety.mzk.bielsko.pl/.
Developed in cooperation with Miejski Zakład Komunikacyjny w Bielsku-Białej Sp. z o.o., Mera Systemy and APDU, the portal offers, among other features:
🔹 A simple 5-step wizard for purchasing public transport tickets 🎫,
🔹 The option to assign a ticket to a contactless payment card 💳📱⌚️ or store it in a QR code,
🔹 The service interface available in 4 languages – Polish 🇵🇱, English 🇺🇸, Ukrainian 🇺🇦 and German 🇩🇪 – including email notifications,
🔹 The ability to submit requests, including invoice requests and complaints,
🔹 An automatic refund option for tickets whose validity period has not yet started,
🔹 Integration with APDU’s tokenisation gateway,
🔹 Integration with Przelewy24 online payments,
🔹 The ability to assign multiple QR code profiles and payment card tokens used as ticket identifiers to a single portal account,
🔹 Transaction and ticket purchase data from the e-shop is transferred to the central Cloud Collector (CC) system and to ticket inspection devices,
🔹 After the New Year, the portal will also display card transactions made at validators to be installed in MZK vehicles.
2️⃣🟢 The second development, directly related to the launch of the e-shop, was the integration and activation – in cooperation with the respective providers – of three mobile public transport ticketing applications: mPay, moBiLET and SkyCash. This made it possible to centralise public transport ticket sales 🎫 in Bielsko-Biała.
For all long-term tickets purchased through these applications, passengers are required to provide details such as their first name, surname and date of birth. For short-term tickets 🎟, passengers are required to enter the vehicle fleet number 🚌.
For each successful transaction, the Cloud Collector central data warehouse sends a 2D code to the integrated applications, containing encrypted 🔐 information about the purchased ticket 🎫.
The solution was implemented using our Cloud Collector (CC) data warehouse. In addition to centralising sales, the system provides real-time access to all purchases, regardless of the sales channel or application provider. As a result, the system owner always has access to an up-to-date sales report 📈🧑💼
👮 Ticket inspection – including reading 2D codes from both the e-shop and the three mobile applications, tokenising contactless payment cards, and blocking ticket sales during inspections – is based on our mobile application installed on PAX A77 terminals 📱.
The technological solution for tokenisation 💡🔏, both in the inspection device and in the web gateway integrated with the e-shop, was provided by APDU.
We delivered the project as a subcontractor to Mera Systemy, and we would like to thank them for their trust!
