One of the solutions that significantly improves safety in public transport \ud83d\ude8e \ud83d\ude8c \ud83d\ude9f is video surveillance<\/strong> \ud83c\udfa5. In addition to their unquestionable benefits in preventing vandalism, enabling drivers and tram operators \ud83d\udc68\u200d\u2708\ufe0f to monitor the vehicle interior, including blind spots, and collecting evidence useful in investigating road incidents and events related to transport services, modern digital audio-video recording systems are also expected to operate with minimal maintenance, provide fast and reliable fleet monitoring, and allow recordings to be searched by GPS location \ud83d\udccd\ud83d\uddfa.<\/p>\n

Securing video evidence \ud83d\udcfc for complaint handling or law enforcement purposes should no longer require technical staff to be physically present in the vehicle, replace storage drives in recorders \ud83d\udce5, or manually download recordings at the depot.<\/p>\n

A solution that meets current trends and expectations for online video surveillance management software \ud83d\udce1 is the back-office system<\/strong> \u2699\ufe0f we implemented as a subcontractor. It is already successfully used by more than a dozen public transport operators, the largest of which manages approximately 400 video recorders<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The system we delivered offers, among other features, live video monitoring<\/strong> \ud83d\udcfd, camera selection based on a predefined vehicle layout \u2013 particularly useful when a vehicle is equipped with a larger number of cameras and the correct location needs to be identified \u2013 remote ordering and downloading of recordings, and precise event searches based on any defined GPS areas. The architecture of the solution also enables seamless operation across multiple depots.<\/p>\n
