\ud83c\udf89 The dust is slowly settling after last week\u2019s deployment of the electronic ticketing system in Grudzi\u0105dz, where we had the opportunity to support PIXEL<\/strong>. In our view, this is one of the most comprehensive ticketing systems we have ever worked on.<\/p>\n

The delivered solution enables ticket sales through as many as 9 different channels<\/strong>, including:<\/p>\n

1\ufe0f\u20e3 NV1 validators<\/strong> installed in public transport vehicles, offering, among other things, the purchase of short-term tickets using a contactless payment card, reading tickets assigned to a city card \ud83e\udeaa and the Virtual Grudzi\u0105dz City Card<\/strong> mobile application \ud83d\udcf1, validating paper tickets, and reading QR codes from tickets purchased via the passenger portal, the Virtual Grudzi\u0105dz City Card app, as well as the mPay, SkyCash, moBiLET, zbiletem.pl and GoPay<\/strong> applications;<\/p>\n

2\ufe0f\u20e3 Passenger portal<\/strong> \ud83d\udcbb https:\/\/bilety.grudziadz.pl\/<\/a>, allowing users, among other things, to purchase long-term tickets and assign them to one of three media: a contactless payment card \ud83d\udcb3, a city card \ud83e\udeaa or a QR code;<\/p>\n

3\ufe0f\u20e3 Integration with all 5 external mobile ticketing applications operating in the city<\/strong> \u2013 mPay, SkyCash, moBiLET, zbiletem.pl and GoPay \u2013 enabling the system to provide consolidated and always up-to-date sales reports in one place;<\/p>\n

4\ufe0f\u20e3 Passenger Service Point (POP) software<\/strong> supporting the issuing of city cards, defining fare discounts and selling tickets;<\/p>\n

5\ufe0f\u20e3 A mobile application serving as the Virtual Grudzi\u0105dz City Card<\/strong>, available on Google Play https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details<\/a>… and the App Store https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/app\/id6476265646<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Of course, every ticketing system also requires an effective tool for verifying purchases made through all the channels described above \ud83d\udc6e \u2013 and this project was no exception! \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n

An important part of the implementation, which had a significant impact on public acceptance of the system, was explaining its concept and capabilities to passengers in a clear and accessible way. In addition to standard instructions describing how the validators, portal and application work (https:\/\/bilety.grudziadz.pl\/uporClient\/#\/articles<\/a>), more than a dozen themed instructional videos \ud83c\udfa5 were also created: https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist<\/a>…<\/p>\n

In the area of payment technology, we were supported by APDU<\/strong>, while the acquiring and payment service providers involved in processing transactions within the project included Elavon<\/strong> for card transactions at validators, Fiserv Polska S.A.<\/strong> for payments of penalty notices via ticket inspection terminals, and Przelewy24<\/strong> for payments made through the portal and mobile application.<\/p>\n
