\ud83d\udc49\ud83e\udde8\ud83d\udca3\ud83c\udf89\ud83d\udd25\ud83d\udca5 We are delighted to announce that yesterday, with our participation, a Mass Transit Transaction (MTT \u2013 Visa) \/ Pay-as-You-Go (PaYG \u2013 Mastercard)<\/strong> solution was launched in the City of Bia\u0142ystok<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This means that Bia\u0142ystok has become the first city in Poland to implement an intelligent fare settlement system in which the optimal fare is calculated automatically and charged to the passenger\u2019s payment card account only after the end of the settlement day.<\/p>\n

The final amount is calculated by PIXEL\u2019s fare system based on the number and duration of journeys, as well as the fare zones in which passengers boarded and exited buses during the settlement day. Passengers using the BKM Smart Fare<\/strong> do not need to know which fare option is the most advantageous for them \u2014 the system determines it automatically.<\/p>\n

How does the Smart Fare work? Immediately after boarding a BKM bus, the passenger simply taps a \ud83d\udcb3 contactless payment card, \u231a\ufe0f smartwatch or \ud83d\udcf1 smartphone with contactless payments enabled on the payment card reader in the ticket vending machine, without selecting any options on the screen.<\/p>\n

As soon as the card is detected, the device displays the message: \u201cEntry registered.\u201d<\/strong> When the passenger is about to leave the vehicle, they repeat the same action by tapping the same payment card or device on the contactless reader. The system then displays: \u201cExit registered.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

If the passenger does not register their exit, the final fare will be calculated as if they had travelled to the end of the route.<\/p>\n

Our responsibilities in the project included developing a tailor-made fare solution<\/strong> integrated with the systems of the payment operator\/acquirer (ACQ \u2013 Bank Pekao S.A.<\/strong>), as well as integrating it with Beesset\u2019s existing systems \ud83d\udcbb \u2014 the SECAM electronic ticketing system<\/strong>, the passenger portal www.ekarta.bialystok.pl<\/a><\/strong>, and the INSPEKTOR ticket inspection application<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The project was delivered in cooperation with PIXEL, APDU and Bank Pekao S.A.<\/strong><\/p>\n
